This invention relates to a chest cup for holding together a first shoulder strap and a second shoulder strap to prevent a child from separating said first shoulder strap from said second shoulder strap beyond a distance towards an upper end of said first and second shoulder straps by said chest clip, which comprises a longitudinal base with at least one pivot means whereto at least one bar at a first end of said least one bar is pivotally attached, and which said least one bar at a second end has a hook for engag ing with at least one lock attached to the base for overlaying and locking said bar to said base by one hand and releasing said lock to unfold said bar from said base by one finger thereby securing and/or releasing said first and second shoulder strap, respec tively.
