<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair comfortable to sit on without needing high technical skill and time and labor for manufacture. <P>SOLUTION: A seat plate A3 includes a surrounding region A5 supported on a chair body A2; an inside region A8 provided inside the surrounding region and displaceable with respect to the chair body when a user's weight is applied thereto; and a connecting region A7 provided to connect the surrounding region A5 to the inside region A8 and smaller in thickness dimension than the surrounding region A5 and inside region A8.
