<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle riding type electric vehicle in which an electric motor for exerting power for rotatively driving a rear wheel journaled on the rear of a swing arm, a battery for supplying electric power to the electric motor and a control unit for controlling the electric motor are arranged in the swing arm supported in a vertically swingable manner in a vehicle body frame, and which suppresses an increase in the weight of the swing arm when the swing arm is provided with a stand. <P>SOLUTION: The swing arm 9 includes a battery storage portion 33 arranged ahead of the rear wheel WR and an arm portion 34 elongated to either of right and left lateral sides of the rear wheel WR from either of horizontal ends of the battery storage portion 33; a partition wall 57, which is elongated in a vehicle-breadth direction in such a manner as to form a plurality of storage chambers 55 and 56 for individually housing a plurality of batteries 7, is integrally provided in the battery storage portion 33; and the stand 10 arranged below the partition wall 57 is turnably supported on the bottom wall 54 of the battery storage portion 33. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
