<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner including a filter cover which has high durability in attachment to the body and excellent operability in attachment/detachment. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: a body case incorporating an electric blower 9; a dust collection part 20 for trapping dust included in air sucked by the electric blower 9; a filter unit 40 arranged on the downstream side of the dust collection part 20 so as to trap the dust; and a filter cover 30 for openably covering the filter unit 40. One end of the filter cover 30 is turnably attached to the body case by the pivot part. Hooks 34, which are engaged with engaged parts arranged in the body case in a state where the filter cover 30 is closed and restrict the opening of the filter cover 30, are turnably attached to the other end of the filter cover 30.
