<p>[Problem] To provide a novel joining method that is highly reliable and imparts good joining characteristics in a furnace without using a joining member. [Solution] A method of joining aluminum alloys for joining a first member to be joined, which is formed from an aluminum alloy, and second member to be joined, which is formed from either an aluminum alloy material or pure aluminum, said method being characterized in that the aluminum alloys constituting the first and second members to be joined have an Mg content of 0.5mass% or less, and in that the members to be joined are joined in a furnace that has a nonoxidative atmosphere while in a state in which a fluorine- or chlorine-based flux has been coated between the joining members and at a temperature at which the ratio of the mass of the liquid phase generated within the aluminum alloy of the first member to be joined relative to the total mass of said aluminum alloy is 5-35%, inclusive.</p> |
