<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card reader enabling an IC terminal section fixed to a card and an IC contact to be brought into contact relatively easily and securely. <P>SOLUTION: A card reader 1 is provided with an opening/closing section 6 rotatable relative to a body frame 4 between a closed position in which an IC terminal section fixed to a card and an IC contact 8 can come into contact with each other and an open position in which the IC contact 8 is exposed, wherein the opening/closing section 6 is provided with an IC contact module 9 having the IC contact 8, a rotational member 13 to which the IC contact module 9 is detachably fitted, and a drive mechanism 14 that rotates the rotational member 13 in the direction for the IC contact 8 to approach the IC terminal section and in the direction for the same to move away from the IC terminal section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
