<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mutual authentication method based on public key cryptography for achieving a processing speed as fast as a mutual authentication based on common key cryptography at the time of authentication. <P>SOLUTION: In signature generation, a challenge-response mutual authentication is composed of a combination of a signature method capable of reducing throughput when signature-object data is input by pre-calculation and a public key cryptography method capable of reducing throughput when encryption-object data is input by pre-calculation in encrypting a public key cryptography. The processing time at the actual authentication is shortened to the level equivalent to the mutual authentication based on common key cryptography by concentrating the processes capable of pre-calculating on one authentication side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
