<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver and a reception method which can reduce throughput. <P>SOLUTION: A receiver which estimates transmission signals sent respectively from first and second transmission antennas in a transmitter based on input signals received respectively by first and second receiving antennas comprises: a converter which outputs the converted first and second input signal points by multiplying a prescribed queue by the input signal points respectively corresponding to the first and second input signals; a candidate number determination part which determines the candidate number of at least the first transmission signal candidate points based on the reception quality of the first and second input signals; and an estimation part which selects first and second transmission signal candidate points of the determined candidate number based on the converted first and second input signal points and which estimates the first and second transmission signal point candidate points which have the smallest distance between the selected first and second transmission signal candidate points and the converted first and second input signal points respectively to be the first and second transmission signals respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
