<p>Provided is a technique whereby, in the case of quantifying a target substance contained in a specimen, the measurement accuracy can be improved by reducing the influence of a current component, which differs from an oxidation current produced by the oxidation of a reducing substance that is formed by a reaction between the target substance in the specimen and an enzyme, from among current components contained in a response current obtained by applying a potential, based on a counter electrode, to a working electrode. A target substance is quantified based on a difference between a first current and a second current which are obtained respectively by applying different potentials E1 and E2 on a working electrode. Thus, the influence of a background current, which is a current component differing from an oxidation current produced by the oxidation of a reducing substance that is formed by an enzymatic reaction of the target substance, from among current components contained in a response current, can be reduced and the measurement accuracy can be improved in quantifying the target substance contained in a specimen.</p> |
