<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor capable of changing a data amount of image data to be acquired, according to a situation. <P>SOLUTION: The image sensor includes an imaging part 1 which images a predetermined area and acquires an image data 5, and a controlling part 2 calculating on the basis of data of each pixel constituting the image data 5 acquired from the imaging part 1. The imaging part 1 transmits the data of each pixel of the image data 5 and a pixel clock signal composed of a rectangular wave having a constant frequency to the controlling part 2. The controlling part 2 acquires the image data 5 by synchronizing the data of each pixel with the pixel clock signal. A frequency divider 3 which divides the pixel clock signal is provided between the imaging part 1 and the controlling part 2. The controlling part 2 transmits a control signal specifying a division ratio of the frequency divider 3 to the frequency divider 3.
