<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device for recording information with high quality and preventing damage to a recording head, and to provide a recorder using the conveying device. <P>SOLUTION: A recording medium is sucked by a suction hole of a conveying belt and a suction hole of a platen.
