LIGHT SOURCE UNIT, OPTICAL SCANNER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit which can reduce variation in the intensity of emitted light even if a surface-emitting laser and an aperture plate are combined.

SOLUTION: The light source unit 14 comprises a laser module 500 including a laser chip, and an optical module 600 including a collimate lens 631 and an aperture plate 632. The aperture of the aperture plate 632 is formed so that the length of projection of the aperture in the X axis direction is twice the interval of an interference pattern in the X axis direction. Since variation in the intensity of a light beam passing through the aperture can be reduced, the light source unit 14 can emit light stably while reducing variation in the intensity.
