<p>Disclosed is an engine control device which prevents fuel evaporated from a fuel tank from being discharged to the atmosphere, and does not cause any worsening of emission performance. The disclosed engine control device is provided with a means for absorbing fuel that is evaporated from a fuel tank, and discharging the fuel from a purging device, which purges the absorbed fuel to a suction pipe, to a catalyst upstream, which is provided in the suction pipe. During idle stop, the control device drives the discharge means, and purifies the evaporated fuel by sending the fuel to the catalysts, which are in an active state directly after the engine is stopped.</p> |
