PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic apparatus and an image projection unit capable of easily displaying a more effective image on a projection plane.

SOLUTION: A portable electronic apparatus comprises: a housing; an image projection part disposed in the housing to project an image onto a projection region; an information acquisition part disposed in the housing to acquire information from an external device; and a processing part to acquire from the information acquisition part information of a specific projection image corresponding to a first image disposed in the projection region beforehand and project the acquired projection image information from the image projection part. The specific projection image is an image related to the first image in the projection region.
