<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiwavelength display device capable of generating colors of four or more wavelength bands to reproduce faithful colors. <P>SOLUTION: A multiwavelength display device (100) comprises: a light source unit (11) that generates at least four kinds of lights (L1-L4) each having different wavelength band from different light emitting points each located at different positions; a first optical system (13) having a positive power which is disposed so that the light emitting points are positioned on a first focal plane in the first focal plane (FM11, FM12) at the light source unit side including a focal point and a second focal plane (FM2) at the opposite side of the light source unit including a focal point; a light deflection sections (14) disposed in the second focal plane of the first optical system in which a plurality of deflection elements disposed in two-dimension for deflecting at least four kinds of lights from the light source unit in arbitrary directions; and a transmittance modulation section (151) disposed in the first focal plane of the first optical system for modulating at least the four kinds of lights deflected by the deflection elements into a predetermined transmittance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
