<p>The disclosed reception device, reception method, and program can present receivable 1seg broadcasts expeditiously and in a manner that makes it easy for a user to find a desired broadcast. In said reception device, a station information acquisition unit (111) acquires station information, which includes broadcast area information on broadcast areas in which it is possible to receive broadcast waves from a station performing an arbitrary 1seg broadcast in an arbitrary segment. A registration unit (114) stores, in a memory unit (115), only station information that the user requested. A station selection unit (117) uses the broadcast area information included in the station information stored in the memory unit (115) to select, as selectable stations, 1seg broadcasting stations that are receivable at a predetermined location. A station-selection control unit (118) performs station-selection control, selecting one of the selectable 1seg broadcasting stations. This invention can be applied, for example, to a handheld 1seg broadcast reception terminal.</p> |
