PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle rotating electric machine that can suppress the intrusion of a foreign material into the sliding portion between a slip ring and a brush while reducing the temperature of the brush so as to lengthen the life of the brush.

SOLUTION: A vehicle rotating electric machine 1 of this invention has a brush device 5 in which the circumference of a slip ring 41 is covered in a slip ring case 51 and where a brush 53 is in slidable contact with the slip ring 41 in the slip ring case 51, and is provided with agitating means 60 and 70 that rotate integrally with the slip ring 41 to agitate the air within the slip ring case 51.
