<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably support a mobile object in a water chamber and to easily move it. <P>SOLUTION: This work device 1 in the water chamber performs a predetermined operation inside the water chamber 131 of a steam generator, and includes: at least two locking means 2 which is inserted and locked in a heat exchanger tube 132 provided on a tube plate 137 in the water chamber 131; support means 3 which is hung over between the respective locking means 2; and the mobile object 4 which is movably provided along the hung over support means 3.
