The invention relates to a method for depositing at least one strip of silicone bands on the back of a self-attaching textile substrate, characterised in that the method implements the following phases: a) positioning a textile substrate on a mandrel so that the reception portion resulting from the layer(s) of silicone bands is well extended; b) using a first robot, gripping said reception mandrel for the textile substrate and moving the same towards an intermediate transfer station for vertically positioning and retaining said mandrel and mounted textile substrate, pressing means ensuring the hold of the textile substrate on the mandrel; c) using a second robot, collecting a sleeve from a storage location in order to provide the same to a station for dispensing at least one layer of a silicone band on the peripheral outline of the sleeve in a pre-established position relative to the textile substrate arranged on the mandrel; d) moving said sleeve glued with silicone towards the intermediate station while orienting said sleeve in a vertical plane in alignment with the axis of the mandrel supporting the textile substrate; e) inserting said glue sleeve into said mandrel by vertically lowering the former, the length of the mandrel corresponding to the length of the sleeve, the sleeve being held vertical by the second robot and said mandrel being maintained in position on the transfer portion by the first robot; f) vertically lifting the mandrel relative to the glue sleeve while transferring the textile substrate onto the glued sleeve by means of the pressure of the pressing means of the transfer station, and bonding the textile substrate onto the glued mandrel; g) moving the mandrel back to the initial position thereof in order to receive another textile substrate; h) transferring the glued sleeve with the textile substrate towards a heating station for the final bonding of the textile substrate to the strip(s) of silicone bands; i) outputting the sleeve and the textile substrate after the polymerisation of the silicone band; j) discharging and separating the textile substrate with the layer(s) of silicone bands from the sleeve. |
