<p>The scanner (10) has a light transmitter (22a) and an associated light receiver (34b), which are arranged in such a manner optical axes (18a, 18b) of the transmitter and the receiver are located to each other in a V-angle (20). The axes are cut at detection distance. An evaluation unit (36b) evaluates an output signal of the receiver to determine presence of an object (12) in the distance. An optical axis of another light transmitter (22b) coincides with the axis of the former receiver, so that transmission light spots of the transmitters arrive at the detection distance for covering. An independent claim is also included for a scanning method for detecting objects at detection distance.</p> |
