[Class 52 (ii)] A seat for aircraft comprises protective armour plate shaped to provide a back and seat proper and supported for angular adjustment about an horizontal axis 2 - - 2 coinciding approximately with the knee joints of the user, a back pad 12 capable of vertical adjustment being also provided to support the small of the back. Arm rests 3, 4 are connected to side wings 14 in such a manner as to permit of vertical adjustment and upward folding as indicated by the arrows 4<1> and 5. A head rest 8 may be adjusted towards and away from the back, up and down, and also pivotally about the axis 11 - - 11. A cushion 6 and back rest 7 are provided. |
