PURPOSE: A device for removing carbon, which reduces carbon which is attached to a coke oven, is provided to extend a replacement period and improve the durability of a removing protrusion by directly removing carbon from the surface of the removing protrusion. CONSTITUTION: A device for removing carbon comprises a RAM part, a removing part(120) and a driving part. The RAM part enters into to the coke oven. The RAM part transfers the carbonized cokes. The RAM part is inserted into the coke oven using the drive of the driving part The RAM part comprises a rack gear part and a ram head(112). The rack gear part is combined with the driving part. The ram head is combined with the rack gear part. The ram head is advanced into in the coke oven and performs the cokes pressing operation. The removing part is included in the RAM part. The removing part eliminates the carbon attached to an entrance. The removing part comprises a removal body(121) and a removing protrusion(122). The removal body is installed in the RAM part. The removing protrusion is attached to the removal body and contacted with the carbon. The removing protrusion comprises a surface hardener. The driving part transfers the RAM part. The driving part comprises a reducer, a pinion gear, and a motor. The pinion gear is connected to the reducer and meshed with the rack gear part.
