PURPOSE: An anti-virus USB memory device and method for blocking a malicious code is provide to diagnose and block a malicious code regardless of a hardware spec or free space of a hard disk. CONSTITUTION: A CD-rom area(12) is defined by a controller(11) and stores update related files and a launching file. A general region(13) is defined by the controller. If the launching file is driven, the general region receives/stores the updated related file and drives the update execution file which is included in the update related files. The general region receives, stores the most updated vaccine engine from an update server and operates the vaccine engine.
