PURPOSE: A system and a method for checking a remote control location are provided to conveniently check the location of a remote controller by pressing a searching button which is included in an electronic device. CONSTITUTION: A remote controller(200) includes a wireless signal receiving unit(210), a remote controller control unit(220), and an alarm generating unit(230). The wireless signal receiving unit outputs a second signal by receiving a wireless signal transmitted from the wireless signal transmitting unit of an electronic device. The remote controller control unit outputs a second control signal by receiving a second signal of the wireless signal receiving unit. The alarm generating unit generates the alarm by receiving the second control signal of the remote controller control unit. The alarm generating unit outputs the generated alarm through a speaker.
