The toaster (1) has a heating unit arranged in connection with a heating chamber (3) and including upper and lower radiant elements (18, 17). A lower reflector is movable in rotation according to an horizontal axis between a reflection position in which its reflecting face (S) is partly oriented upward and intercepts a vertical plane (V) passing via the lower radiant element and a disengaged position (D) in which its reflecting face is partly oriented toward the side and provided on a same side of the vertical plane passing via the lower radiant element.
