<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which enables minimal average brightness of a display giving consideration not to make an observer feel that an image is dim. <P>SOLUTION: An image display device which displays an image by adjusting brightness of each pixel on a display, comprises a weighting section for performing weighting on the brightness of the respective pixels depending on a position on the display.
