<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact decurling mechanism that can perform curl correction processing of sheets led from different directions, respectively. <P>SOLUTION: In front face printing, the sheet fed from a sheet feeding unit is led into a nipped position between a first pinch roller 31 and a decurling roller 20 from a first direction, and is discharged by decurling force being applied thereto at the decurling roller 20. Alternatively, in back printing, the sheet fed from a reverse unit is led into the nipped position from a second direction opposite to the first direction, and is discharged by decurling force being applied thereto at the decurling roller 20. When sheet conveyance is suspended in a period longer than a predetermined period during curl correction processing, a nipped state by the decurling roller and at least part of the pinch rollers is released to relax decurling force action. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
