<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate information for quantitatively estimating the emotional intensity of an observer who has observed an image. <P>SOLUTION: A variable neutral image varied in the luminance of a neutral image according to time is output in a first time interval, and a variable target image varied in the luminance of an input target image according to time is output in a second time interval.
