<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver for visible light communication which extends communication distance from a transmitter to a receiver while attaining high-speed transmission rate and is constituted of a simple processing circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The receiver for visible light communication includes: a light receiving part which receives a visible light signal from a blue photoexcitation type white LED driven by a drive current signal to be generated by adding a rising pulse to transmitted data encoded by an RLL code whose minimum run is 1, which is DC free, and to which NRZI modulation is performed in rising of the transmission data and adding a falling pulse in falling of the transmission data; a photoelectric conversion part which converts the received visible light signal into an electric signal; an equalizer which equalizes the electric signal from the photoelectric conversion part into a duo binary signal; a discriminator which discriminates the duo binary signal from the equalizer into a three-valued signal; a maximum likelihood decoder which performs maximum likelihood decoding to the three-valued signal from the discriminator; and a decoder which performs RLL decoding to a decoding result of the maximum likelihood decoder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
