<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch between a document display mode and a handwriting mode without requiring manipulation of an operation component that is manipulated when a user inputs a locus on a screen. <P>SOLUTION: A control part determines whether an electronic pen is not placed in a pen tray when a locus has been acquired while a document display application is running (S201). If the electronic pen is not placed in the pen tray, the control part acquires a captured image displayed on a screen (S202), and activates a handwriting edit application (S203).
