The present invention includes two novel mutually interrelated concepts, Botanical Cemetery and Ecological Interment. The Botanical Cemetery is defined as the land surface the forestal vegetation whereof already exists or may be created as a protected ecological reserve, the trees thereof being destined to be hosts to the process of Ecological Interment. Ecological Interment is the process of interment of the lifeless body of a person at the foot of a tree within a biodegradable coffin such that through the natural process of biodegradation the remains are reincorporated into nature, conferring a new meaning on life and generating greater social awareness for the care of the environment under an economically sustainable model. |
