<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter, a receiver, a transmission method, and a reception method which improve the estimation accuracy of a used carrier used for transmitting a modulation signal even under the circumstances where there are high-level noises or frequency selectivity of transmission path response. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitter comprises: a used carrier setting part to set N (N is an integer no less than 2) pieces of used carriers used to transmit a modulation signal in a first transmission section for transmitting a modulation signal by M (M is an integer no less than 2) pieces of multicarrier modulation symbols; a modulation signal arrangement part to arrange a modulation signal of overlapped system elements in each of the used carriers set by the used carrier setting part in each of the M pieces of multicarrier modulation symbols. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
