<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast signal receiver and a broadcast signal receiving system whose operability is good and capable of preventing wasteful consumption and ineffective utilization of power. <P>SOLUTION: TV receiver 40 includes a CPU 31, an antenna power supply part 22, a power supply part 24, and an LED backlight 32. The CPU 31 supplies, when judging that receipt of satellite broadcast is requested by a user, electric power from the power supply part 24 to the antenna power supply part 22 so as to enable receipt of satellite broadcast by a BS/CS antenna 18. When judging that receipt thereof is not requested, electric power is not supplied from the power supply part 24 to the antenna power supply part 22. Furthermore, in a case where a setting of image quality-up mode from a user is accepted and the receipt is not requested, power to be supplied to the antenna power supply part 22 is supplied to the LED backlight 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
