<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a carbon fiber for rubber reinforcement, which exhibits excellent adhesion to rubber with excellent adhesive properties between the carbon fiber and rubber, resulting in excellent fatigue resistance in rubber of a final product. <P>SOLUTION: A carbon fiber bundle is treated with a first bath liquid containing a urethane resin as a main component, and subsequently treated with a second bath liquid comprising an RFL adhesive containing a polynuclear chlorophenol compound to produce a carbon fiber for rubber reinforcement. Preferably the urethane resin is an ester, and the RFL adhesive contains hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene-methacrylic acid copolymer latex as a constituent. Preferably the carbon fiber bundle is twisted after the treatment with the first bath liquid so as to have a twist factor in the range of 0.5 to 3.5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
