<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To incorporate stably a light diffusion plate into a liquid crystal display unit of a backlight system without causing its deflection deformation. <P>SOLUTION: The module for a liquid crystal display unit is provided with a light diffusion plate 30 and a holder member 40 for holding the plate on a circuit board 10 together with an LCD element 20. The holder member 40 has an element support part 48 for supporting the LCD element 20 and a diffusion plate support part 46 for supporting the light diffusion plate 30, and the element support part 48 is formed to surround the light diffusion plate 30 supported by the diffusion support part 46. The light diffusion plate 30 is provided with a body part 32 for diffusing light and locked parts 34 which are located on its length direction both ends and extending along its side and are capable of being elastically deformed in the length direction. Then, the light diffusion plate 30 is held by the holder member 40 in a state that these locked parts 34 abuts on an inner wall part of the element support part 48 and moderately bent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
