<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact light source which has high luminance and has a long lifetime without reducing luminous intensity of emitted light. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting device includes: a semiconductor laser diode for emitting a laser beam; an optical fiber having at least one incident end for receiving the laser beam emitted from the semiconductor laser diode and a plurality of emitting ends 5a for emitting the laser beam incident from the incident end; and a light-emitting section 7 for emitting light by receiving the laser beam emitted from the plurality of emitting ends 5a. The largest light intensity parts in light intensity distributions which exciting lights emitted from the plurality of emitting ends 5a have, respectively, are irradiated to mutually-different sections of the light-emitting section 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
