<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development device and an image forming apparatus provided with the development device capable of eliminating unevenness in charge on toner in a toner layer by using a single layer thickness restriction member only without using plural layer thickness restriction members. <P>SOLUTION: A development device comprises: a developing roller that rotates while carrying a nonmagnetic one-component developer on the surface thereof; and a layer thickness restriction member that restricts the thickness of the nonmagnetic one-component developer on the developing roller. After restricted by the layer thickness restriction member the nonmagnetic one-component developer is transported and is caused to jump onto a photoreceptor disposed being faced the developing roller to visualize electrostatic latent images. The layer thickness restriction member has an L-like shape and comes into contact with the developing roller at two points so as to ensure a space enclosed by the layer thickness restriction member and the developing roller; thereby the problem is solved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
