METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING PROTEIN SEPARATED BY ELECTROPHORESIS ONTO MEMBRANE FILTER AND PERFORMING MASS SPECTROMETRY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane filter with high ionization efficiency, and to provide a method for performing mass spectrometry using the membrane filter.

SOLUTION: A membrane filter for mass spectrometry is comprised of a porous material having a hole diameter of 0.2 μm or less and hydrophobic characteristics. A sample plate for mass spectrometry includes the membrane filter and a substrate. A mass spectrometry method is provided that comprises transferring and fixing a sample separated by gel electrophoresis onto the membrane filter.
