<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating ball type input device excellent in operability. <P>SOLUTION: Inner periphery side push buttons 103a to 103d and outer periphery side push buttons 105a to 105d are arranged around a spherical body 101. A user can depress one or a plurality of push buttons while rotating the spherical body with a single thumb. A correction gain according to the number of depressed push buttons is generated. The moving distance of a cursor generated by the rotation of the spherical body is corrected with the correction gain. Accordingly, the excellent operability is achieved by simultaneously depressing more number of push buttons as the longer the moving distance when the cursor is moved for a longer distance, and only the spherical body is rotated when the cursor is moved for a shorter distance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
