PURPOSE: A tandem type solar battery and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce a leakage current by forming a cell separation part in a second separation part. CONSTITUTION: A solar battery comprises a solar cells and a plurality of cell separation parts(65). A plurality of cell separation parts divides into each solar cell. A transparent electrode layer(20) is formed on the top of a substrate. A first photoelectric transformation layer is formed on the transparent electrode layer. An intermediate layer(40) is formed on the first photoelectric transformation layer. A first separation part and a second separation part are formed in the intermediate layer. A second photoelectric transformation layer is formed on the intermediate layer. A rear side electrode layer is formed on the second photoelectric transformation layer.
