An advertising device for fitting to the forward face 12 of a shopping trolley, shopping cart 14 or to a shopping basket includes a rectangular sheet 16 of foldable plastics material. The sheet 16 is folded over the top edge 30 of a face 12 of the trolley 14 to form a transverse fold 32. The sheet is secured by two-part co-operating releasable fixing means, e.g. pop studs 26, 28 having one part 26 provided on the back face 20 of the sheet adjacent a first end 22 of the sheet and the other part 28 provided on the back face remote from the first end. The distance from transverse fold 32 to the second end 24 of the sheet is slightly less than the height of the forward face 12 of the trolley 14. The transverse fold is preferably located asymmetrically such that the other part 28 of the fixing means is located between the first and second ends of the sheet. Advertisements may be provided on both forward and rearward facing parts of the sign. |
