<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the third persons from browsing a preview image or confidential information. <P>SOLUTION: A surroundings are previously detected by a sensor so as to prevent the third persons from browsing highly confidential information such as a preview image of a document and a setting screen displaying a password or information relating to various jobs. The degree of confidentiality is determined in accordance with detected contents, and the preview image or the setting screen subjected to processing depending on the degree of confidentiality is displayed. Concretely, a partial or entire area of the document is made difficult to view or is not displayed in accordance with the degree of confidentiality, or the setting screen including highly confidential information is reduced, is transparently displayed, or is not displayed.
