<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar lighting apparatus which has a high color rendering characteristic and a high light utilization efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The planar lighting apparatus is provided with a light source and a light guide plate provided with a light incident surface into which a light emitted from the light source enters and a light emitting surface for emitting the light incident from the light incident surface. The light source is arranged to face the light incident surface and is provided with main LEDs which emit a light of a light emitting wavelength having two or more of main peak wavelengths and a plurality of auxiliary LED units which are arranged close to the main LEDs and have LEDs which emit a light of a light emitting wavelength different from at least one of the main LEDs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
