PURPOSE: A heavy object transfer apparatus and method are provided to stably transfer a heavy object without shaking and to ensure easy transfer using a hydraulic device. CONSTITUTION: A heavy object transfer apparatus comprises a frame(10) in which a heave object is placed on top, a crawler-type moving roller(20) which is installed on the underside of the frame and moves back or forth, a cylinder(30) which is installed on the front or rear end of the frame, a hydraulic device(40) which provides hydraulic pressure for driving the cylinder, a bottom rail(50) which is installed on the surface to transfer the moving roller, and a fixing jig(60) which is installed on an end of the piston of the cylinder and moved along the bottom rail by being fitted to the bottom rail.
