FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to casting at curvilinear continuous casting machine. Crystalliser ID variation factor Tp equals Tp=(1/D0)x(dD/dx)x100, where D is crystalliser diameter at distance"x" from it top edge 1a, D0 is crystalliser diameter nearby its bottom edge 1b. Crystalliser outer side curvature radius variation factor Rp equals Rp=(l/R0)x(dR/dx)x100, where R is radius of curvature of crystalliser side at distance "x" from its top edge 1a, R0 is -radius of curvature of crystalliser side nearby its bottom edge 1b. Factors Tp and Rp are interrelated by Rp=(Tp/2)x(D0/R0). Crystalliser is divided along casting direction into three areas wherein said factors differe. Method comprises feeding casting powder on melted steel surface with viscosity of 0.1-1.0 Pas and solidification temperature over 1273 K. Relationship ((CaO+CaF2x0,718)/SiO2) in powder makes 1.0-1.4, sodium content is lower than 5%, fluorine content is less than 7.0%, that of magnesium is smaller than 5-13%, and that of aluminium is below 6-18%. ^ EFFECT: reduced number of ingot surface defects. ^ 6 cl, 5 dwg, 5 tbl |
