Process for preparation of HIV protease inhibitors via bisfuran intermediates

The disclosure relates generally to processes for the preparation of bisfuran alcohol derivatives of formula (0), amino phosphonate derivatives as antiviral compounds with anti-HIV protease properties. A process for the synthesis of bisfuran intermediates useful for preparing antiviral HIV protease inhibitor compounds is hereby disclosed. The disclosure relates to the methods for the preparation of carbamate sulfonamide aminoethyl phosphonate diesters and intermediates thereof. The carbamate sulfonamide amino phosphonate esters prepared by the present methods are HIV protease inhibitors, useful for the treatment of human auto immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).
