PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell with high conversion efficiency.
SOLUTION: In a full wave rectification-type solar cell, a microcell is configured by: radially disposing fine light receiving pieces in a self-similarity shape; providing two lines of electrodes in their central part; for each light receiving piece, connecting its portion proximal to the center of the radial part to one of the two lines of electrodes via a PN semiconductor layer; and for the same piece, connecting its another portion proximal to the center of the radial part to the other line of electrode via an NP semiconductor layer. A number of the microcells are disposed on one plane so that each microcell dose not contact the others, and these microcells are connected in series and in parallel. Thus, the light receiving pieces can receive light in a broad range of wavelength due to their self-similarity shape, further, can receive the light polarized in a variety of directions to rectify in full wave since the light receiving pieces are radially disposed, and therefore, can obtain a solar cell with high conversion efficiency.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
