<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the diameter of a rotary valve used for a pulse tube type refrigerator and to reduce the torque required to turn it. <P>SOLUTION: The pulse tube type refrigerator includes a regenerator, a first pulse tube, a second pulse tube, and the rotary valve which controls the flow of gas entering the regenerator. The rotary valve has a valve seat 70 and a valve disk 71 which relatively rotates while oppositely contacting the valve seat 70. On the contacting surface of the valve disk 71 with the valve seat 70, a port 53 for gas flowing to the first pulse tube, a port 54 for gas flowing from the first pulse tube, a port 55 for gas flowing to the second pulse tube, and a port 56 for gas flowing from the second pulse tube are arranged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
