<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbidity detector capable of detecting a low turbidity or a minute change in turbidity. <P>SOLUTION: A turbidity sensor 1 comprises: a vessel 110; a light-emitting unit 121 externally irradiating a second wall 112 of the vessel 110 with light through a first wall 111; and a scattered light receiving unit 122 receiving the light applied from the light-emitting unit 121 and transmitted through the second wall 112. An incident angle A of the light applied from the light-emitting unit 121 to be incident to the first wall 111, an angle D formed by inner wall faces of the first wall 111 and the second wall 112, the refractive index n of a liquid 140 and the refractive index m of the material constituting the first wall 111 and the second wall 112 with respect to the light applied by the light-emitting unit 121, an angle x formed by inner and outer wall faces of the first wall 111, and an angle y formed by inner and outer wall faces of the second wall 112 satisfy the formula (1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
