摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent torque shock upon switching from motor traveling to engine traveling, even when an electric motor 17 has no margin for torque-up in a hybrid vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: An engine 11 is started by igniting and combusting fuel supplied to a cylinder in an expansion stroke of the stopped engine 11. A margin torque that is the difference between the maximum torque currently outputtable by an electric motor 17 and the currently generated torque is calculated. When the margin torque is less than a prescribed value, a connection/disconnection unit connects the engine 11 and a wheel 14 so that power is transmitted when an engine rotation speed is increased more than a synchronous rotation speed corresponding to a vehicle speed and a gear ratio by a prescribed rotation speed or more, and torque-down control of the electric motor 17 is executed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
